Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a press briefing ahead of the event, Hojatoleslam Mohammad Taqi Sobhani, chairman of the conference, said the gathering focuses on addressing today’s pressing moral and social crises through interfaith cooperation between Islam and Christianity.
He stressed that humanity is facing a deep moral collapse, with legal and political systems failing to protect societies from war, family disintegration, and social injustice. “The great divine religions, if united in the pursuit of ethics, can pave the way for a brighter human future,” Sobhani said.
He noted that this year’s conference moves beyond theoretical discussions, emphasizing practical and process-based approaches, with voluntary participation from global scholars and experts. Eighteen collaborative research works produced through the conference have been published internationally, reflecting growing global interest in ethical cooperation between the two faiths.
